Hydro-Probe Orbiter Moisture Sensor for Mixers- Connections
The Hydro-Orbiter moisture sensor for mixers can be connected to a control system in three ways: analogue, digital or via the Hydro-Control VI water control unit. These different options provide the flexibility to select the most suitable method of connecting to their control system.
Digital Connection
The Hydro-Probe Orbiter provides an RS485 serial interface which allows sensors to connect directly to a control system via the serial communications link. There are various options for interfacing between the sensor and the control system including a Hydronix approved Ethernet, USB and a RS232/RS485 adapter.
Analogue Output
The Hydro-Probe Orbiter provides a linear control output, 4-20mA, 0-20mA (0-10V using 500R) for connection to a batch control system or current loop meter.
Hydro-Control VI Connection
For applications that use the Hydro-Control VI as a method of controlling the addition of water in the mixer, the Hydro-Probe Orbiter can be connected using the RS485 digital output.
