Working with the correct moisture of wood is important to prevent damage to process equipment, so measuring the moisture online with precision sensors ensures optimum efficiency.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n    \n\n    <div class=\"container-xl\">\n\t\t\n<p>Typical applications include biofuel for boilers for CHP or power generation applications, syngas production, and processing wood into intermediate products, such as charcoal briquettes and wood pellets.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n    \n\n    <div class=\"container-xl pt-4\" id=\"benefits-of-moisture-control\">\n        \n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Benefits of Moisture Control:<\/strong><\/h2>\n    <\/div>\n    \n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Consistent quality of the woodchips<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure correct moisture for storage, reducing the&nbsp;risk of spoilage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increased control of the final product<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lower wastage and product degradation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Direct, continuous, real-time control of the burning process<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Optimised combustion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n    <div class=\"container-xl pt-4\" id=\"where-to-measure-moisture\">\n        \n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Where to Measure Moisture?<\/strong><\/h2>\n    <\/div>\n    \n\n    <div class=\"container-xl\">\n\t\t\n<p>After the woodchips are delivered, they are dried before entering a Combustion Chamber where they are burnt to generate heat which has multiple uses (e.g. hot water or steam for power generation).<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n    \n\n    <div class=\"container-xl\">\n\t\t\n<p>The excess heat from the process is also fed back into the dryer to reduce the energy input.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n    \n\n    <div class=\"container-xl\">\n\t\t\n<p>Common measurement locations are:<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n    \n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Dryer Input<\/strong>: measuring moisture as the material enters the dryer enables control of the operating temperatures, maximising its efficiency. It is essential that the sensor is located so that the ceramic disc is continuously covered by at least 100mm of material.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n    \n\n\n<figure
