Customers who wish to use the communications capabilities of the Hydro-Probe II will need the protocol specification. The specification, user guides and accompanying software can be found on the Hydro-Com diagnostic software page.

FIRMWARE UPGRADES

Hydronix has developed a programme that will make it simpler to upgrade the firmware in all of its sensors. The download includes the latest version releases and will automatically detect the sensor and ugrade it accordingly. This programme will replace individual firmware upgrades.

Hydro-Probe II Firmware:

HS0029 V3.0
HS0046 v1.31

There are two hardware versions of the Hydro-Probe II, the latest hardware build requires HS0046 firmware, the earlier hardware build requires HS0029 firmware.

HS0029 software, version 1 hardware - Pre serial number 22769
HS0046 software, version 2 hardware - Post serial number 22769

HS0046 Version 1.31
Released in January 2008, this is the latest revision of firmware for version 2 sensors.

Version 2 sensors were first shipped running HS0046v1.27 on 21/01/04 (serial number 30100 and greater).

HS0029 Version 3.0
Released in April 2005, this is the latest version of firmware for version 1 sensors. The averaging function has been improved for better performance and accuracy.

It is recommended that all Hydro-Probe II sensors with serial numbers prior to 22769, running HS0029 are upgraded to this version.

ASSOCIATED SOFTWARE

Hydro-Com Software (HS0068) - a sensor calibration and configuration utility which allows the Hydronix range of sensors to be configured by the user using a PC.
