GENERAL NOTES

Older versions of the Hydro-Mix V sensor are running with HS0045 firmware. A number of hardware improvements were combined with a new software release and since serial number 27504, the newer versions are running HS0047 firmware.

IMPORTANT - The recommended default filtering parameters for the two versions differ. Please refer to Engineering Note EN0027 v1.2, 'Default Sensor Parameters'.

USER GUIDES

The Hydro-Mix V User Guide (HD0155) was updated to revision 2 in October 2003 and is currently available in English, translated versions will be available shortly.

The latest user guide applies to all versions of hardware and software, however, refer to EN0027 (see above) for default sensor parameters.

It is recommended that engineers acquaint themselves with the most recent User Guide.

  • Location, installation and adjustment of the sensor
  • Wiring and earthing of the sensor
  • Filtering parameters (with improved sensing technique)
  • Troubleshooting tips

FIRMWARE HS0047 VERSIONS

Please refer to Engineering Note EN0027 (see above) for the latest sensor default parameters.


HS0047 version 1.25 was released in March 2003, this incorporate a new filtering technical that gives a smoother and more stable sensor output.

HS0047 version 1.26 was released in June 2003, resolving a minor bug in the operation of I/O2.

FIRMWARE HS0045 VERSIONS

HS0045 version 1.50
There are no functionality or reliability differences between version 1.40 and 1.50.

Version 1.40 upgraded the flash write procedure to further improve reliability. Version 1.50 incorporates minor background modifications.

It is recommended that all HM05s running HS0045 are upgraded to either version 1.40 or 1.50.

It is recommended that sensors are upgraded using the Hydro-Com Diagnostics Utility.

you run the DOS upgrade utility directly from MSDOS mode (F8 at WIN95/98 start up) rather than a DOS window. If run from a DOS window, ensure that Hydro-Link Diagnostics is closed down first to avoid serial port conflicts.
