The Hydro-Control Jr firmware was upgraded from version HS0035 version 1 to version 2 in May 2002.

Version 1 operates as a progressive water metering system, controlling water addition to hit a pre-defined moisture target, this method requires no calibration.

Version 2 software incorporates version 1 functionality but also offers the new Calc mode. This mode enables a calculation of water required after an initial mix time and requires calibration.

The Version 2 manual is applicable to both version 1 and version 2 software revisions.

The Hydro-Control User Guide (HD0166) is applicable to software version HS0035 version 1 and version 1.1.

FIRMWARE (Version 1 only)

Hydro-Control Jr Firmware HS0035

The latest version of the Hydro-Control Jr Firmware should be used in conjunction with the Hydro-Control Jr DOS Upgrade Utility HS0043.

HS0035 version 1.10 was released on 20th March 2001 and it is recommended where possible to upgrade units in the field.

Hydro-Control Jr DOS Upgrade Utility HS0043

This is an upgrade utility that allows all versions of the Hydro-Control Jr to be upgraded.
This is a DOS '.EXE' program. It should be copied and renamed 'LoadJr.exe'.

The command line implementation is then:

Load_Jr <filename><comm. port>

e.g.

Load_Jr Junior.BIN 2 , to load file Junior.BIN using the PC serial port COM2. The .BIN file must be the Hydro-Control Jr firmware HS0035, the ROM image for download to the Junior's Flash memory.
