FIRMWARE

For details on how to upgrade a Hydro-Contol IV unit to the latest version of software please contact our support staff.

Version 3.05, released in April 2005, minor upgrade to smooth the scrolling of menus when turning the wheel on the fascia panel.

Version 3.03 Autotrack output changed from (hi+lo)/2 to the mean of Autotrack buffer. Variable for Autotrack deviation corrected (was using Autotrack Time). The maximum value for the Autotrack Time was also changed from 30 to 60 seconds.

Version 3.02 Polish language option added. The Auto Track facility now has two sets of parameters allowing different limits to be set for the dry mix and wet mix cycles. Remote recipe selection added to allow up to 4 recipes remotely using the digital inputs of the Hydro-Control IV. Changes made to calibration methods to improve performance of the system for wet cast products. A 'Two Point Calibration' method has been added to the water addition method. This simplifies the calibration process when the system is used in Wet Mix applications or when Admixes are used.

Version 2.47 addresses the Millennium issue by introducing a four digit year on external data transfers via RS232. Calibration function are also extended.

UTILITIES

Hydro-Control IV Remote Terminal Utility (HS0072). This utility allows the user to change the working receipe on a Hydro-Control IV, change the trim value and also view the mix log.

The Hydro-Control IV Backup/Restore Utility (HS0069) This allows complete backup and restore of the Hydro-Control IV Operator terminal database to and from a PC using the RS232 connection.

This is particularly useful when a unit is exchanged and customers have many recipes and calibrations held in the system that they wish to automatically transfer to a newer unit. Customers can Backup from the old unit and Restore to the newer unit. It is also advisable to make a backup before returning the system for a service.

NOTE: Backup and Restore will allow you to backup 'Full' or 'Recipes Only' data. A 'Full' backup may only be restored to a unit with the same firmware version. A 'Recipes Only' backup may be restored on to a machine running any firmware version. Version HS0068v1.1 now has a help file.
